I Write My Story

A publication by Marie Monet

I Write My Story

For people who've spent a lifetime performing for belonging.

I write about late diagnosis, self-trust, old stories, new chapters, and what it takes to stop performing a life that was never yours.

Some of us spent years trying to solve ourselves.

Trying harder. Performing better. Explaining more. Shrinking, overcompensating, earning, proving.

This is where I put down the sword and pick up the pen.

I write about what I'm learning, what I'm burying, what I'm building, and what becomes possible when you stop apologizing for who you are.

What lives here

Cut the noise

The old stories. The overthinking. The performance. The static that makes it hard to hear yourself think.

Trust your own signal

The body knows. The truth is usually quieter than the performance, but it holds.

Write your own story

Not the one built from fear, approval, productivity, or survival. The one that is actually yours.

Old stories, new chapters

Some things need to be buried. Some things need to be written. Both are part of becoming visible to yourself.

If you've spent a lifetime trying to fit in, start here.
